Oppo, why would somebody do this to a perfectly good Miata?

Saw this little number while heading into town just now. I think these bros were part of an Oppo-esque meet because in front of the Miata was a gunmetal grey FoST, and a black Mustang with red accents, including a headlight kit like this:

I think it actually looked kinda cool. Definitely not a look for everyone, but it works on the shark gill styling of the 2015+ model Mustangs.

The group pulled off the road into a Walmart parking lot and I halfway wanted to stop and see what they were all about, but I was heading to an appointment. Maybe next time.

That’s about 50% of the miatas I see around here. Not a huge fan of the headlight mod either, but it’s not the worst thing I’ve seen.

Judging by the back bumper and lack of right rear exhaust exit, that is a Magnetic Gray Focus ST.

The stanced Miata is so that the vape clouds look like they go higher.

Typo on the FoST. And I didn’t know the name of that grey. It took me two hours just to post this post because the signal sucked where I was so I wasn’t going to try to look it up. Had to try uploading the photos like five times. This is why I rarely go into town on weekends. Everything sucks. Traffic, cell service, everything.

The camber I can at least tell myself could be for autox, track days, etc. Some alignment specs are pretty aggressive for NA Miatas. And the rollbar kinda back that up...

Until I see the stretched tires. Maybe you could “rescue” it..? I feel dirty for looking at this post inside my Miata.

Even better was the guy driving it. He was an interesting character to say the least. Only dude with an open carry, holstered pistol that I saw. Plus his friend was an interesting character as well. They were hilarious on the dragon just being total trolls.
